What is the difference between Recreation or Professional courses?
Some groups take free courses in standard office applications to increase their productivity. But we also offer classes in photography, Web design, game design, and robotics. We design our classes to achieve optimum experiential learning in a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
What technology skills are important to place on a resume?
We assist the Army Career Assistance Program by helping transition soldiers and spouses out of the service. We help you build your resume by giving you confidence with industry standard technology skills. We can provide you with a training certificate for your portfolio. It's not a certification, but we can help you achieve a certification if this is a personal goal.
Do you meet industry standards in technology?
Microsoft 2003 and Windows XP is the current industry standard, but Giant Campus provides selective classes that introduce Microsoft Office 2007 and Vista products.
What do you have to support our youth programs?
Youth technology education happens to be where Giant Campus got its start 11 years ago. We work with after-school clubs, home schooling programs, and elementary schools in the Fort Lewis community by developing FREE courses that support language arts, math, and science programs. For kids ages 7 to 18, we conduct specialty workshops at various post locations and week-long Cybercamps during long vacation breaks.
